The salsa bar is great, and usually offers your classic red house salsa, a fiery (7 pepper?) salsa, a green cilantro salsa, and my personal favorite, the mango salsa, that even has smell pieces of mango in it. Your eyes will be bigger than your stomach from the moment you want in and smell the deliciousness you're about to eat. All of the good tastes fresh and has an authentic taste, including their grilled fajita veggies. If I were to compare the style to Mexican food, if Mexican food were a street taco, Baja Fresh is a fajita. Sure, they both serve "Baja" style food shrimp, steak (high quality carne asada), or chicken. I've heard Baja Fresh compared to Rubio's. There's just something about a Steak Baja Burrito that satisfies my soul. I've eaten Baja Fresh probably 100 times since 2000, and the Baja Burrito is just as good now as it was back then. The quality is definitely above what I consider "fast food." Your order is made fresh, the ingredients taste fresh, the salsa bar is always well maintained, and of course, the chips and salsa that come with most orders. 23 years later, it's still one of my top 5 favorite "fast food" places to eat.
